The Big Bad battle lines have been drawn.
This fall’s four-way crossover between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will pit the super crew against DC Comics’ Dominators, TVLine has learned. Arrow and Legends EP Marc Guggenheim says he’s “taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as Invasion!, which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes.
“We’re using cutting-edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look,” Guggenheim adds, “which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters.”

Last week, Guggenheim tweeted an image from the table read for Arrow‘s 100th episode — a linchpin of the ambitious four-pronged event — that confirmed the return of Jamey Sheridan as Oliver’s father Robert. And earlier this week, Amell released his own teaser pic that strongly hinted at a Deathstroke cameo (although it’s unclear if original portrayer Manu Bennett was under the mask).
There are also strong indications that Katie Cassidy — who was killed off Arrow last spring but now has a series regular deal across all the CW hero shows — will turn up in some capacity.
The CW superhero slate kicks off its new seasons starting Tuesday, Oct. 4 (with The Flash), followed by Arrow (Wednesday, Oct. 5), Supergirl (Monday, Oct. 10) and Legends of Tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 13)
All I want to know is if iris and James will be in the crossover
With so many characters to service across 4 shows I would think the majority of them would just be in group scenes where they discuss what to do and then the main characters of each show, Flash, Green Arrow, Supergirl, and a couple of Legions handle the rest of the action. I guess it also depends on the filming schedule. For example are all four parts of the story being filmed simultaneously? Or when they filmed the 100th episode of Arrow are all the other shows off so that all the actors are available to appear in the crossover. Or the other could be filming shows unrelated to crossover at the time the Arrow part of the crossover is filmed and the actors only have time for a token appearance in the crossover.
That should say Legends not Legions
No they appeared on the animated Legions of superheros cartoon that was on the CW a while back
Since they have 4 shows to tell a story on instead of 3 (4 hours vs. 3 hours), I think it’s likely that we’ll see everyone in some capacity. The writers know that we want to see all the characters interacting with each other and if they have the time to do it and the storyline that fits, I can’t imagine them choosing to do something else. I was happy to see Hank in the promo but I missed Alex and Caitlyn. If TPTB plan on having Alex be a lesbian, I’m also hoping for a fling/tryst with White Canary during this event (unless she’s fallen in love with the detective by then).
I always knew that CW would want to do a 4 way crossover with those 4 shows
You do know this was announced months ago?
I’m only back for Katie’s return. It just better be more than a cameo. Still disgusted by Laurels fisgusting exit.
Awesome!
I’ve sort of figured that the Deathstroke we saw was actually Billy Wintergreen. I think whatever Barry did blended Earth 2 and Supergirl’s world together, so its possible they altered some stuff from Oliver’s past. Like, maybe Slade didn’t manage to kill Billy back in season 2. But then Robert is alive and likely the Green Arrow in Earth 2….
I wonder if Superman will be involved.
Sounds interesting – I’m looking forward to it. It’s gotta be better than last year’s, right? :)
This is either gonna be really, really good or really, really bad, LOL!!!
Does Supergirl being front and center in the promo picture mean the point of the crossover is to promote viewer interest in Supergirl and therefore will the crossover revolve around her?
Well, since Supergirl airs on a Monday, it would be logical to have the story begin and heavily feature her.
Well, aliens are more her deal than anyone else’s. So I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the case.
I wouldn’t say promote viewer interest vs the fact that at the moment Supergirl is in a different universe than all 3 of the other shows. It is very likely this crossover will be bringing the worlds together so Supergirl being the center of it is hardly a surprise.
I would be surprised if they destroyed Supergirl’s world and had her come to the Flash/Arrow world and take their world’s Kara Danver’s place when all her friends and family doppelgangers reside. If you are thinking all the multiple Earths will merge into one at the end of the story, that didn’t work very well in Crisis On Infinite Earths where of coarse both Barry and Kara died.
The only problem with that is, on the Flash/Supergirl crossover they established there’s no Kara or Clark on Barry’s Earth and no Barry/Oliver Queen on Kara’s. And I doubt that Barry messing with the past on Earth 1 will somehow create people in another dimension that never existed to begin with.
i think at the end of flashpoint arc on the flash when Barry resets the time while running he meets pandora and she will converge supergirl earth with the arrowverse but then pandora dies it stays that way
That would also bring Superman into the Arrowverse. How could Superman not dominate a world where he exists. Why wouldn’t Barry and Oliver call both Superman and Supergirl when ever they had a problem. It can’t be that every time they are needed, they are unavailable.
Oh please let Imperiex be the bad guy
The alien factor ties Supergirl into the other shows because she is working with the government agency that hunts aliens; perfect. I’d wondered how that would work.
#SuperFlashLegends all look interesting. Skipping the farce called arrow.
Sounds good storyline for crossover episodes. Good choice of big bad villian for crossover episodes. Can’t wait to see it in December!
Sorry, this sounds like a mess. I’ve seen every episode of Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl. I even powered thru Legends which in my opinion was horribly miscast and a waste of Wentworth Miller. This sounds like it could put ALL this shows at risk.
Sounds good. I’m interested in how they play out the crossover over the 4 shows.
