Veteran Advocacy Group VoteVets Endorses Senator Tom Cullerton

Illinois Senate candidate Tom Cullerton earned the endorsement of VoteVets, an organization representing over 400,000 members.

For his work protecting veterans, Illinois Senate candidate Tom Cullerton earned the endorsement of VoteVets, an organization representing over 400,000 troops, veterans, military families, and supporters nationwide.

“I am excited to announce that VoteVets has endorsed me as one of their Emerging Leaders. I plan to continue to be a voice for those who have served their country in the armed forces” said Cullerton. “Care for veterans must remain a top priority in this state; 22 veterans across the country commit suicide every day. I worked on the Task Force on Veterans’ Suicide, instituted the ‘no wrong door’ policy to eliminate red tape for veterans seeking care, and consistently voted to increase funding for social services to make sure that these men and women can fully take advantage of state resources upon returning home.”

Vote Vets is a group focused on giving a voice to veterans of the armed services regarding the various issues that affect them. Their 400,000 members are active in all 50 states working on issues that affect veterans at the local, state, federal and international levels.
