RAPAPORT... Jewels designed by Boehmer et Bassenge’s new boutique Maison
de Haute Joaillerie will co-lead a Christie’s auction in Geneva next month.
A pair of diamond earrings named Miroir de l’amour is
estimated to fetch $20 million to $30 million at the Magnificent Jewels sale on November 15. They feature the world’s largest pair of pear-shaped, D-color,
flawless diamonds with a symmetrical cut and weigh 52.55 carats and 50.47 carats,
Christie’s said.
In addition, the sale will feature a necklace from Maison de
Haute Joaillerie comprising three central diamonds: a round, 31.38-carat diamond
and two pear-shaped diamonds weighing 12.11 and 8.07 carats – all three of
which are D-color and flawless. The stones are accented by 3.92 carats of
intense pink diamonds. The necklace, named Le Jardin d’Isabelle, is
estimated at $8 million to $12 million.
Both pieces will be offered without a reserve price,
“something unseen in the auction world for such important pieces of jewelry,” Christie’s
said.
Also at the Geneva sale, Christie’s will auction a
pear-shaped, 9.14-carat, fancy vivid pink diamond estimated at $16 million to
$18 million.
