Android: If you use Chrome on your Android phone, you may have noticed a little quirk when you open a new tab. As the page loads, your pages will jump around. AddictiveTips.com explains how to keep this from happening.
As they explain, pages jump around because different elements on the page are loading. As more of these elements load, the page will adjust the position of the scroll, so if you open a page with a ton of images, this can be annoying.
Here’s how to nip this annoyance in the bud:
Open Chrome and type Chrome://flags in the URL bar. Look for the flag named ‘Scroll Anchoring’ and enable it. Don’t leave it set to ‘Default’. Tap the drop-down under the flag and select enable. Relaunch Chrome….This will not speed up or slow down your browsing experience in way. Likewise, it is not going to impact how a page looks once it loads so if you have problems with elements flowing off screen, this isn’t the fix or the cause of it.
