Cuba Gooding Jr. doesn’t mind being mistaken for Terrence Howard

Cuba Gooding Jr. takes being mistaken for Terrence Howard in stride.

When the Television Academy’s Twitter account mistakenly captioned a photo of Howard with Gooding’s name at the 2016 Emmys, it didn’t bother Gooding one bit.

When asked if he got an apology, Gooding told TMZ, “Why would they have to do that? I don’t care about an apology … it happens all the time. Terrence and I both get that all the f—king time. It’s part of the gig.”

He also noted that he doesn’t think there was any racism involved in the social media mishap.

“I don’t think so,” Oscar-winning Gooding, 48, said firmly. “I think they got caught up in the moment. He was nominated a couple years in a row with ‘Empire,’ and we blew it up with ‘The People vs. O.J.'”
