Senior leader of the Nepali Congress Ramchandra Poudel has shared his resolution that he would not let the party split.

Releasing a book ‘Ago Nibheko Chhaina’ (Fire is not doused) penned by senior journalist Harihar Birahi amidst a programme here Thursday, senior leader Poudel said, “NC won’t split as long as I remain in the party.”

He further said he has reminded party President Sher Bahadur Deuba to rise above factionalism. “Although I lost in the election to party presidency, I’ve not troubled President Deuba,” he said, however, suggesting President Deuba to forge alliance with him.

On the occasion, party leader and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi said there were still some tasks incomplete under the peace process. Amendment of constitution was imperative to ensure broader acceptability of the constitution.

According to him, holding election in all three tiers would help ensure effective implementation of the constitution.

Similarly, leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula admitted that the political leadership has failed to work up to the mark.

Making comments on the book, leader Pradip Giri said the country without faring revolution and the person without faring love could not be complete.

Writer Birahi said he penned the book to make aware the new generation about the historic past.
