Capitalist bids goodbye to joinDOTA
After a very successful three year tenure with joinDOTA, Capitalist bids farewell to the organization to seek new opportunities and independence back in the United States. Capitalist got his start in joinDOTA with TobiWan in 2013, casting HoN before that, and during the three years at joinDOTA, established himself as one of the premier casters of DOTA2. This success however, came at a price to his personal life-one reason he has decided to move away from Berlin and the joinDOTA studio.
Veteran Warcraft 3 pros and grassroots eSports combine forces
The Ting Warcraft 3 Invitational is ramping up to herald a new age classic RTS eSports. World champions will once again face each other on the hallowed maps of this legendary eSport. Although Warcraft 3 is more than a decade old, it wouldn't be the first eSport to make a comeback thanks to a grassroots tournament. Fans of Super Smash Brothers Melee will remember the "Revival of Melee", a tournament featuring all of the smash greats during a time when the game was at its absolute lowest popularity.

Liquid.FATA- decides to step away from competitive scene
Adrian 'FATA-' Trinks announced that he will not only be leaving his Liquid teammates, but he will be taking a break from competitive Dota entirely. In his farewell he discusses the stress associated with frequent travel, the risks he is taking by leaving Liquid, and how he hopes this break will motivate him to come back to the scene an even stronger player than he is now. He also takes some time to thank his teammates for the experience he was given by playing with them and mentions how much they had grown as a team since they had first formed. He makes it very clear that he is taking a break of his own volition and desire to find the game fun again and not due to any internal team drama.
Xboct goes on an indefinite hiatus
As the fall season drop period comes to a close and the join period begins, Alexander 'XBOCT' Dashkevich announced on Twitter that he will be opting out of competitive Dota for the Fall season and maybe more. Having a Dota2 career spanning from the very first International, XBOCT is one of the most experienced CIS carry to date. Over the hyper-aggressive carry player's six years in the scene, he has achieved a podium finish at several international LAN events, most notably, with NA'VI at The International 1, 2 and 3.
MMY! leaves LGD for half-year break
Amidst the departure of Agressif and Maybe from LGD Gaming, the organization announced earlier today that MMY! would be taking a half-year break and upon his return, either retire or continue on. Zeng 'Dai-MMY' Rong Lei has been a part of the competitive scene for seven years now and established himself as one of the premier mid players in DotA days. In his DOTA2 career, MMY! transitioned into the support role which did nothing to slow X down, placing in the top six of the first five Internationals: a feat achieved by him alone.
