I have had these glasses for some time now and I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. The shape is as close to perfect as I think is practical. I have used glasses from the thinnest lead crystal to generic heavy duty glasses used at wine tastings, and these, which fall somewhere in-between, are superb. Don't believe the reviews which state these are relegated to everyday use and are too cheap or fragile. In fact, these suckers are shatter-resistant. I dropped one in the sink and it just rolled - no damage whatsoever.

I have medium sized hands and these are perfect for swirling and aerating. I find them particularly good for pinot noir, merlot, and even heady intense malbecs. The shape of the glass really intensifies the fruit aromas and allows for a great dinning experience. Just be aware the size of the glass globe is deceptive and you can easily pour an eight ounce glass thinking it to be a normal five ounce pour. I have enjoyed wine from six to sixty dollars a bottle out of these glasses and can honestly say they will improve the experience or expose flaws in any wine. Enjoy.

They feel comfortable in hand, and so sturdy and stable. Nice to put it down on the table or coaster and not feel like it's going to tip over. Glass not too thin but yet not too heavy either--just right! They look and feel very modern! Shipping was also quick and glasses were packed very nicely--each one individually in bubble wrap. I was skeptical after reading a couple of the reviews and wasn't sure what I was going to think when they arrived. And they did arrive somewhat dull and cloudy in appearance like one person mentioned. But after one cycle through the dishwasher they are shiny and clear, sturdy and strong, and fit nicely in your hand. We had expensive ones from pottery barn that kept breaking in the dishwasher, so these are a nice replacement. And my husband , who is the harshest critic, on more than one occasion has mentioned that he likes these "way better than the other ones".

The only reason why I am not giving these glasses 5 stars is that they state they are "high-quality" yet two of the 4 have small barbs of glass around the rim, all of them have some minor bubbling, and all of them have some marks that appear to be scraps or look like webbing stained on them. I have washed them twice since opening them and scrubbed them by hand but the marks have not disappeared. Maybe they are trying to appeal to the crowd that goes for a distressed look, and maybe you're into that and find it a plus as well!

Other than the above criticism, these are great glasses! You can pour a nice quantity into them and still have plenty of room to swirl it about in your glass, and I also use them for some home brewed mead as well. They have a nice weight and fit in your hand nicely. No more snapping the stems off cheap glasses as I drunkely scream expletives about the state of the world while drinking. I do believe my wife appreciates the reduction in spills on her clean floors and less broken glass to sweep up as well from using these. As great as these are, they unfortunately do nothing to reduce your hangover the morning after using them. I will definitely buy another set of these again for the price and volume they hold alone!

The glasses have been great, but I'm unfortunately down to only one of the original four that I ordered, and it's only been three months.. All three glasses that broke happened due to the result of everyday use, not a single one was dropped. The first glass broke when I set it upside down in the top rack of my dishwasher. The top rack is almost entirely plastic and upon me placing the glass into the dishwasher (with the same care that I take with all glassware) the glass cracked about 4 inches from the lip and became unusable. Due to the fragility of the glasses observed in my first broken glass, I decided that I would wash them by hand moving forward. While running a sponge through the inside of another glass in an attempt to clean out the basin of the glass, my hand somehow caused too much pressure to the rim and caused a several inch chip to be popped out of the glass. At this point, being very frustrated, I decided that I would only hand rinse the glasses as any other method seemed to result in breaking them. The final broken glass resulted from a friend clinking glasses in cheers with someone else who had a Moscow Mule mug. The cheers was hardly aggressive by either party, but the copper mug of the mule was enough to put a spider web into the side of my wine glass. Needless to say, I understand that they're glass and only advertised as shatter resistant, so I should have stemmed (pun) my expectations, but seriously, these glasses are fragile.

They're cheap and really nice when you treat them VERY carefully, but don't be disappointed when you ultimately break one for not being extremely careful while handling them.

We love these glasses. I was a little worried that the larger size would make it feel weird to drink a normal portion of wine, but they still feel elegant and comfortable in your hands. We use them for much more than just wine, they're a great size for all kinds of cocktails or just water. My favorite thing about them is that they're dishwasher safe and very strong despite their light feel, which isn't too common for wine glasses.
