Man's body found in Liberton High School grounds

A man's body has been discovered in the grounds of an Edinburgh school, police have said.

The remains were found in a wooded area at the bottom of the playing fields at Liberton High School, Gilmerton Road, on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers are currently treating the death as unexplained.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said inquiries to establish the full circumstances of the man's death were at an early stage.
