If a Golden Globe, an Oscar nomination, a Super Bowl slay, a David Bowie tribute, and a new album weren’t enough, Lady Gaga’s adding another big resume bump to her 2016.

As once rumored, Gaga has been confirmed to star opposite Bradley Cooper in Warner Bros.’ forthcoming remake of A Star is Born. It’ll be both Cooper’s directorial debut and Gaga’s first starring role in a major studio feature.

In addition to headlining the film, Gaga will also write and perform new music for the movie, which is being produced by Billy Gerber, Jon Peter, Cooper, Todd Phillips, and Basil Iwanyk.

Though Warner Bros.’ official announcement did not name specific casting for Gaga or Cooper, the showbiz story charts the rise of a young ingénue whose star hotly ascends through Hollywood, while an alcoholic film star’s career simultaneously fades.

Gaga had been nearing a deal to star in the picture for some time, and now inherits a role played by Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, and Janet Gaynor. At one point, Beyonce’s name was rumored for the project, as were Clint Eastwood, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and Russell Crowe.
