Abstract: Objective To monitor HIV prevalence and epidemic,and to estimate the epidemiological characteristics and risk factors among entry-exit population at Chengdu port.Methods There were 165 253entry-exit personnel receiving HIV testing by ELISA &Western Blot in Sichuan international travel healthcare center from 2010to2014.Results 98 HIV infected cases were detected,with 0.059% of HIV-1prevalence,among which 96 cases were males.Majority of HIV cases were male(98%),age between 41-50 years(35.7%),overseas labors(75.5%),and not permanent residents of Chengdu(84.6%).Sexual contacts continued to be the major route of transmission(72.5%),esp.among MSM group.Conclusion The HIV/AIDS epidemic maintains at a low level among entry-exit population at Chengdu port.HIV surveillance should focus on 41-50 age group and overseas labors.The number of HIV reported cases among overseas students is rising.Unprotected sex is the main risk factors of HIV infection.
