The Chainsmokers responded to an article from Esquire comparing them to the band Nickelback in the best way – they made a mashup of their hit song “Paris” with Nickelback‘s “How You Remind Me.”

The article was titled, “The Chainsmokers Are the Nickelback of EDM,” and used words like “shameless sexism” and “schmaltz” to describe the group.

The Chainsmokers - Drew Taggart and Alex Pall – responded to Esquire‘s tweet as well as the article’s writer with a video and the caption, “It’s not like you to say sorry so..”

The Chainsmokers and Halsey‘s hit song “Closer” jumped from the sixth spot to the number one spot on this week’s Billboard Hot 100!

The hot new song dethroned Sia‘s “Cheap Thrills,” featuring
, which enjoyed several weeks at number one and is now at number two. Major Lazer‘s “Cold Water” featuring Justin Bieber and MO is now at number three.

Rounding out the top give is Twenty One Pilots‘ “Heathens” and Calvin Harris and Rihanna‘s hit song “This Is What You Came For.”
