Canada in a Day: Help Out with CTV’s 150th Documentary

canada-in-a-day

In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, CTV/Bell Media have teamed up with award-winning filmmaker Trish Dolman to shoot a crowdsourced film created entirely by Canadians. Canada in a Day will encapsulate the ordinary and extraordinary events taking place in the lives of Canadians – think of it as a visual time capsule of what life is like in Canada in 2016. The documentary will be released in summer 2017, and we need your help spreading the word.

Citizens across the country are encouraged to pick up their smartphones or cameras and share their stories on Filming Day, September 10, 2016. It’s an opportunity for them, and us, to speak about what the country means to us, what we love, what we fear, what we hope for. Videos can be about anything – directly speaking to the camera and answering one or more of the above questions; documenting major events taking place on that day like weddings or conferences; neighbourhood tours; preparing a meal; etc. Videos can be in any language, or multiple languages and there’s no minimum or maximum length.
