Simultaneous Determination of Baicalin,Baicalein and Wogonin in Naosaitong Pills by HPLC

Abstract: Objective To establish a method for the determination of baicalin,baicalein and wogonin in Naosaitong pills. Methods HPLC method was used. The chromatographic conditions as follow: Zorbax ODX(5 μm,4.6 mm×250 mm) column,gradient elusion with a mixture of methanol-0.2 % phosphoric acid solution,detection wavelength at 280 nm,column temperature being 30 ℃,flow rate at 1.0 m L·min-1. Results The linear ranges of baicalin,baicalein and wogonin were 0.201-1.206 μg(r=0.9997),0.045-0.27 μg(r=0.9995),and 0.03-0.18 μg(r=0.9993),respectively. The average recoveries of the three components were 97.85 %(RSD=1.94 %),98.78 %( RSD=2.09%),and 98.63 %(RSD=1.97 %),respectively. Conclusion The method is simple,specific,accurate and reliable,and can be used for the quality control of the Naosaitong pills.
