If you’re on Verizon and you’re the proud owner of one of this year’s Galaxy S7 flagship offerings from Samsung, then an update is currently rolling out to your device that improves a variety of features and even unlocks FM Radio capabilities.

Most modern devices are shipped with FM Radio hardware built right in, but manufacturers and carriers disable them for a variety of reasons. However, now you can jam to your favorite local channels on your S7. Just head over to Settings > System updates.

The update also allegedly improves voice calls and prevents “unintentional powering off and restarting.” Barcode Beaming for UPC codes is now available as well, which lets you scan common barcodes in a way that interfaces neatly with Samsung Pay.

Of course, this update isn’t without its downsides. As part of the FM Radio unlocking, Verizon is also using DT Ignite to install an app called “NextRadio” on your device, which many users are regarding as bloatware. Your milage may vary.

What do you think of Verizon’s new update to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge? A worthy improvement or are they just adding unasked-for features to squeeze bloatware onto devices? Let us know your opinion in the comments below!
