Before Things Start To Go A Bit Fast

I finally took control back into my own hands. Today I posted my new vlog on YouTube and working on getting my video content back to being a part of my daily life. I have disappeared for so long taking care of many other parts in my life, which were more important to me than making videos. Arriving back to making videos and the editing days & hours I will have to put in will be a shock to me, but it’s time.

Check out my new quick vlog, it’s finally LIVE!

NEW VLOG

Let me know your thoughts and hope to see everyone when more video releases come to be.

Bloganuary writing prompt
Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting.

Living in New York City, it’s tough to see everything, as there is so much to do. As soon as you think you experienced alot, the city reminds you that you have not. They pop out a new experience, show, broadway play, secret hideout, and restaurant galore.

As for attraction, there are some core places that are key to New York that even native new yorkers and new york resident don’t experience in their entire time living in New York.

I Did A Deed Today, Cross My Finger

Okay, I did a deed today. Yes, I know a little tiny deed. So I offered to pay for someone’s grocery, well I was asked politely, and I did. Before you say oh snap, Jixi, you are such a nice guy, wowwwwww. Ummm, I sniffed out the pros and cons quite quickly. I saw where it could lead my astray, I see where it may cause me harm. Oh yes, I am always in detective mode when I am outside.

Living in New York City will teach you a few life tips. For which, three of the best tips to know are, (1. You have to be sharp. 2. Be aware of your surroundings, someone is always watching, so always be looking for different angles. 3. Always locate exit points.)

I do read minds, so if you got this far, you are probably saying, having high anxiety, being paranoid, and always be ready to run are the tips. You are absolutely right. Once you have master these basic tips, for which have many meanings, you will forever be at ease in New York City. I will tell you this, they tend to say New Yorkers are fearless, they maybe seem a bit meaner that other folks, that’s true for many have went through these trainings, and some are currently in training and haven’t adjusted to the cool New York vibes.

Either way, I said all to say, someone in the supermarket was low on funds, they had exact cash, not extra and was trying to finish their purchase, and looked to me, politely ask if I had some money to give to finish their purchase. I was rocking a cool pink hoodie by the way, it’s cold times in NYC, and I assess the risk factor quickly and offered to pay for the remaining cost of their purchase. I walked them through the steps to buy the food they had, and when it was my time, I tap my phone to pay for it. Once the receipt came out, the person said thank you, I said no problem, real New Yorker like, and the person jetted out the store with items paid for leaving my saying, that person has so fast feet. There were more thoughts, but I got to keep my cool, I did a deed today.

All in all, I came home and wrote about it. 🙂

Hope you like the post.

My Favorite Place To Go In My City

Well shoot, this is pretty tough. I live in New York City, and I know my city very well. There are a lot of amazing places. So to answer this question, I must have to break down, what I would consider the top 3 places and hopefully at the end say what’s my favorite.

Okay, in parts of my life I came to love different places in New York City. I love all three.

he High Line is for the views, food and vibes, it’s intimate and cozy.

South Street Seaport is for the escape, the atmosphere, the passion and the exotic quality an fine adventure.

Brooklyn Bridge Park is the wild outdoors, the party, the crew, the excitement, the photograph, the melting pot of cool.

In the end, my love and passion will have my choose my first absolute love, The South Street Seaport, with a dose of Battery Park City. Access to the ferry, and yachts and vibes.

Famous Person I Met on The Street

When in New York City you can run into almost anyone. For me, on this given day, while working a delivery job, which was my favorite job ever, not counting working for myself, which is the absolute best I ran into one my favorite film directors. Yes, on the busy streets I was doing a delivery into an apartment building, Spike Lee, was passing in a car, stopped in the middle of the street to ask me a couple questions. I was caught off guard, not to say I would have forced quickly pulling out my phone to trying to get a picture, which would have been cool, but I played it pretty cool.

I answered his questions, while like thinking to myself, oh snap it’s Spike Lee, how crazy is this. Not I have a mini story about my one of favorite film directors.

No Love Lost | Free Verse

Feeling betrayed,
But I stayed,
I have been tired of playing,
Procrastination has paused growth,
All I have is hope,
The real reason is action is needed,
Leading me to what’s want most,
So,
Give off your ass,
Let’s go.

I Do Color Outside The Box | Free Verse

Never been a fan of rules,
I always been a fan of cool,
Doing cool sh*t,
Living life as bunch of what if’s,
Making people question my approach,
Like what is this,
Some may get pissed,
But how do they grow though,
How do you evolve,
Following the same kind of flow,
Never second guessing,
The impression is all weird,
Like take the left path,
As the right one was so clear,
Moving with no fear,
Not worried if you will be judged,
Judgy people,
Are the type of people,
Who probably need some hugs,
To cover their tush,
As the sit and box,
They going to just have to watch me,
Color outside the box.

Quotes & Captions

Quotes & Captions

People hide from themselves daily,
Believing they fooled the world,
Taking from people who have nothing,
Believing those people have the world,
To only find out,
We all have a battle we are fighting,
Just that some of it you can’t see,
Until you step in my shoes,
Trust me you don’t want to be me.

I was just mere steps away,
Fade in,
I am looking at you,
Clearly amazing.
