Lindsay Lohan claims her fiancé made a chilling threat about her famous face during their weekend blowout, a source in her inner circle told the Daily News Tuesday.
“He said Russians will throw acid in my face if I leave him,” the actress told a confidant in a text message, according to the well-placed source.
The revelation came as Lohan, 30, reached out to her fans on social media late Tuesday to say she was both safe and sorry.
“I’m good and well,” she wrote in the Instagram message to her 4.7 million followers. “I am taking time for myself with good friends.”
The mercurial “Mean Girls” star said she regrets the flurry of now-deleted posts she made on social media over the weekend accusing her fiancé Egor Tarabasov of cheating on her.
The messages quickly made headlines along with a British tabloid report that included video of Lohan and Tarabasov fighting Saturday on the balcony of her London apartment.
“You’ve been strangling me constantly. You can’t strangle a woman constantly and beat the s–t out of her and think it’s okay. Everybody saw you touch me. It’s filmed. Get out!” she told Tarabasov on the video obtained by The Sun.
“You need help,” she said minutes before police arrived at the scene, broke down her door and found the apartment empty, the Sun reported.
“I am sorry that I’ve exposed certain private matters recently. I was acting out of fear and sadness,” Lohan wrote in her Tuesday Instagram post.
“We all make mistakes. Sadly mine have always been so public. I have done a lot of soul searching in the past years, and I should have been more clear minded rather than distract from the good heart that I have,” she wrote.
“Social media comes with the territory of the business and the world we now live in. My intentions were not meant to send mixed messages. Maybe things can be fixed… Maybe not.. I hope they can. But I am 30 years old and I do deserve a #GENTLEgiant Life is about love and light. Not anger,” she wrote.
Tarabasov, 23, was photographed moving his belongings out of Lohan’s apartment Tuesday, leading to yet another controversy.
The source close to Lohan said he arrived with his mother and allegedly tried to take a piece of Lohan’s artwork.
The source said it was a piece depicting Lohan in a topless pose reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
“To add insult to injury, when he got there, he apparently tried to loot some things,” the source said.
“It’s heartbreaking to see her go through this,” the source told The News. “I don’t know this side of him. But if he…is choking and threatening to throw acid in her face, that’s over the edge.”
The source said it was possible the couple still might work things out, but they need time to cool off and possibly seek help.
“She’s very upset, but she’s safe, and that’s the most important thing right now,” the source said.
Lohan’s father, meanwhile, rushed to her defense in a series of text messages sent to Tarabasov that demanded the Russian business heir face him “like a man,” TMZ reported.
“VOME (sic) Here and Face ME like a man and bring your daddy and mommy,” Michael Lohan wrote in the messages obtained by the gossip site “You threaten my daughter, touch her or if anything happens to her and you will have no where to hide mother ducked like weasel.”
He continued: “Return her jewelry you broke phoney or I’ll take it out of you’re a–. I WILL find you.”
On Monday, Lindsay was spotted at Heathrow Airport still sporting her engagement ring.
