UI, TASUED Graduates Cry Out Over 9 Years Delayed Certificate

Graduates of the University of Ibadan in affiliation with Tai Solarin University of Education Lagos State, on Monday, condemned the institution’s management over its refusal to release their certificates.
A male alumnus who spoke with Naijaloaded registered his displeasure with the management of the two schools. He noted that all they keep hearing from the institution is that the certificate is not yet ready from UI.
His words, ”It is embarrassing for most of us securing for jobs. They requested for our original certificate instead of the statement of results and attestation.
”We missed the current Lagos State Recruitment exercise just because we were unable to provide the original certificate.
”Our case is now ‘man know man’, if you have your money and you know anyone in the university of Ibadan, you will get your certificate immediately without delay. Some of us paid close to N40,000 to hasten the process,” he added.
Speaking with our correspondent, another female alumnus lamented, ”I actually enrolled in the school when it was still Tai Solarin College of Education in affiliation with the University of Ibadan. I entered the program in 2004, the problem started in 2006 when some set went for NYSC service and they were sent back that the school was not recognized in 2006.
”TASUED started their own program with their first product and they produced certificates for them. UI wanted to adopt us but we heard there was a monetary issue between the two schools. But we are stuck in the middle.
She added, ”To get more information, we visited the school on Thursday and the school brought out all receipts, showing that they have cleared their debt of about five million with UI. Where is our certificate, is now a problem”.
She, however, urged the two institutions and the Ogun State Government to look into the issue while noting that it is unfair to be a graduate without a certificate for nine years.
”We have been deprived of privileges because If you finish nine years ago without a certificate it shows that you are not serious,” she added.

pls note ur so called TASUED was once TASCE and those that had degree studies Dr had issues,so u guys can v urs since no 2 giants r fighting over ur certificate.

I graduated in 2008 (the last set of UI in affiliation to Tasce) since then I have been parading for my certificate but only for tasued to be telling me it has not been released by UI for the past 9years.

I graduated in 2008 up till now no certificate to show, I will take the matter to Nuc since i base in Abuja, Tasued should note that it should not start what it can not complete, it is a shame.

I graduated since year 2007 and I have not bin able 2 collect my certificate till date. Each tym time I got 2 tasued dey will b telling me dt not yet ready.

I really appreciate your message, am also part of the graduating students. Same thing is happening to me, due to fact that I was unable to present my original certificate,can’t get promoted to the next level which is seriously giving me concern..Am appealing to the institution to please find solution to our complain.. I have a similar issue. I finished my BA Religious Studies from NBTS Ogbomoso,then an affiliate of the University of Ibadan, in 2015. I don’t know whose fault was the delay ;The NBTS.Ogbomoso, or the University of Ibadan which has the exclusive right to process the same. While I’ve been in dare need of this important document since 2016,it still remains out of reach till
