AC/DC to release ‘Back In Black’ on cassette

AC/DC’s seminal album ‘Back In Black’ is being released on cassette for Record Store Day.

The limited-edition version of the AC/DC’s 50-million selling rock n’ roll tour-de-force - now with added hiss - will be available to buy from select independent record shops on Saturday 21st April.

‘Back In Black’ is one of a number of releases that were unveiled on the official Record Store Day website at 6pm last night (6th March).

Other notable releases include a Def Leppard ‘Live From Abbey Road’ EP that will be released on 12” vinyl. The three-track collection is from a session at the world-famous studios in 2008.

Motörhead have two releases – ‘Death Or Glory’ on 12” silver vinyl and a 7” vinyl single version of their cover of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ featuring the 2017 official Wacken Hymn on side B.

Eric Clapton will release ‘Rush (Music From The Motion Picture)’ for the first time on 12” vinyl, while Europe’s latest album ‘Walk The Earth’ will be made available on 12” heavyweight vinyl picture disc.

There’s also the previously reported Mono remaster of Pink Floyd’s debut album ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ and Led Zeppelin’s inaugural Record Store Day release is a 7” yellow vinyl featuring an unheard “Sunset Sound Mix” of ‘Rock and Roll’ and an “Olympic Studios Mix” of ‘Friends.’

Other acts with Record Store Day releases next month include Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie (with multiple releases), Bruce Springsteen, The Doors, The Groundhogs, Hawkwind, Jethro Tull, John Fogerty, Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons, The Rolling Stones, Saxon, Stone Broken, Uriah Heep, The Who and many more.
