Pharrell is a happy dude. He knows this. We know this. Anyone who knows anything about Pharrell knows he made an insanely popular song called "Happy" and that his voice is filled with such tranquility that you can't help but feel at peace just hearing it. So the irony is lost on a total of no one with this piece of news: A fight broke out amongst sneakerheads waiting in line to get a pair of Pharrell's new peace-promoting, love-inducing NMD Hu Trail Adidas sneakers.

According to The Playbook, the fight broke out at Adidas Originals Pacific Plaza in Singapore. The Hu has had a few releases, all of which sold out as fast as they popped up. This week's take: the "Blank Canvas," part of a pack of all-white kicks. But no matter the good intentions from Pharrell, or his sneakers dedicated to promoting peace and unity. These are some rare, very good sneakers, and the sneaker fiends must have them. At the cost of the shoe's integrity. At the cost of a functioning fist. At any cost.

Of course, fighting over hyped shoes isn't new or specific to this style. It's just particularly notable, considering its theme and who you'd think might be after a sneaker such as this. But a good shoe is a good shoe. The Playbook got a hold of some fight footage, too. Take a look.
