About Noe House

Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, Noe House stands as a contemporary beacon of family life, reimagined by Karin Payson Architecture + Design in 2017. This once traditional 1938 home now boasts a vertical and horizontal expansion tailored to a growing family’s needs, balancing private sanctuaries with communal vibrancy.

Elegant Exterior Unveiled

The façade reveals a dark, modern exterior with warm wooden accents that promise a fusion of sophistication and comfort. White-trimmed windows and twin garages lend the house a distinctive character among the city’s diverse architecture, beckoning with its harmonious blend of old and new.

An Invitation into Modernity

Stepping inside, the living room welcomes with a plush blue sofa that anchors the space, while the skylights and strategically placed art breathe life into the open-plan design. The room flows seamlessly into a dining area that boasts expansive windows, blurring the lines between indoor serenity and urban landscape.

Transitioning to the kitchen, functionality meets finesse. The cool blue backsplash complements the warmth of wooden countertops, crafting an inviting hub for family meals and social gatherings. Modern pendant lighting hangs above, illuminating the culinary canvas for creative cooking.

A stairway ascends to the private quarters, where the master bedroom offers a tranquil retreat. The deep blue hues and the texture-rich bedding echo the design narrative of comfort and contemporary elegance found throughout the home.

Refined Relaxation

The bathroom serves as a testament to the thoughtfully curated design, where crisp white tilework meets eclectic accents. Here, daylight dances through the foliage-framed windows, casting a natural calm over the sleek, modern fixtures.

Ascend further to the rooftop deck, where the design pivots to an outdoor social sanctuary. Chic furnishings and patterned textiles complement the wooden deck, offering panoramic views of the bustling city, yet providing an intimate enclave for the family.

The Noe House, a harmonious interplay of design and function, stands not merely as a dwelling but as a testament to a family’s journey. Through the discerning eyes of Karin Payson and the meticulous detailing by Lisa Staprans, this home encapsulates the very essence of contemporary San Francisco living — a canvas for memories in the making.
