Tom Brady Limited at Practice After Suffering Injury to Throwing Hand

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was limited at practice Wednesday with a right hand injury, the team announced. 

Brady jammed his throwing hand after getting accidentally run into, according to the Boston Herald's Karen Guregian, who added that X-rays showed no structural damage.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reported that "nobody seems too concerned" about the injury, and Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald added that unless there is an unexpected setback, Brady will play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

On Thursday morning, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported Brady "should be OK" and noted "another source said simply, 'he will play.'”

With the exception of ACL and MCL tears that forced him to miss the final 15 games of the 2008 season, Brady has rarely missed snaps—much less full games. 

In fact, he hasn't missed a regular-season contest because of injury since he suffered the gruesome knee injury last decade (he was absent for four games in 2016 due to his Deflategate suspension). 

That said, he has been a mainstay on New England's injury report during that 10-season stretch with various bumps and bruises—the most recent of which was an Achilles ailment that popped up in advance of Week 12. 

However, minor injury speed bumps haven't slowed Brady at all. He finished the year with an NFL-best 4,577 passing yards to go along with 32 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. He also completed 66.3 percent of his passes.

Since Brady's injury appears to be relatively minor, he'll likely be available to play against Jacksonville.
