Help or do I give up?

As you may know I decided to try a RTA, it’s disastrous.

1) I wick so badly I just can’t get it right, burnt. I’ve watched vids and follow them, I guess this is practice.

2) bought some bacon cotton, first wick this evening was fucking dreadful.

3) tried to rewick and no matter what the coil was glowing on one leg.

4) changed the coil AGAIN, strummed etc and now a 0.2 coil is reading 0.3! WHY!!! It tastes great, but why is the resistance so wrong. One mod says 0.3, one says 0.34, is this safe?

Mods aren't always accurate, there will always be a bit of variation.
Some given coil resistances won't always be accurate - that's why you should always measure the resistance afore footering with.

Wicking takes practise and patience, keep on fiddling about and you'll get your eye in.

Go get a brew, calm down then watch a review and see how they wicked your kit.

First. what's the RTA.
second make sure your wick is not tight but isn't to loose
third . the wick should be pushed down into the juice flow channel but not rammed in tight and depending on the RTA will either need to sit say half way down the juice port or will need to just touch the bottom of the juice port.
4th resistance. this depends on your mods chip, some are better than others at being more accurate. The 510 also could be causing the slight difference. Joytech mods are notorious for their not so good 510. or at least the rx series where
5th. I am yet to use Ni80 wire but now i have some it's just a matter of time. But stainless steel is one that fluctuates when heated and cooled. Kanthal in my experience stays the same resistance

Build spaced coils. They will glow from the inside out right away, without any need to mess with them. Try seeing how little cotton you can get away with. The tendency is to use too much when you start out.

wicking a RTA is abit of an art form it seems to take alot of practice i dont use them much now but it was allways abit hit and miss a joy when you get it right and a right fecker when you dont and yes you are safe your useing a regulated mod so if there was any problems it would not fire keep at it practice makes perfect as a wise man or my mum said

Thanks, a lot, is it ok to use this coil even though it’s way off?

Thank you, this one I’ve just done is a joy, so I’ve stopped trying to eat my face now.

No such thing as way off in a regulated mod , If the mod will fire it , find a setting that feels good on taste and vape .
