Arsenal's £35m bid for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia rejected?

Arsenal have been knocked back in their pursuit of Juventus defender Medhi Benatia after tabling a £35m bid, according to a report. The Morocco international recently emerged as the Gunners' rumoured top target, as they seek central defensive cover for the second half of the campaign. Italian outlet Calciomercato suggests that Arsenal have now made a move for Benatia, only for their opening bid to be knocked back by Serie A champions Juve.
