Dow is unchanged on the day. S&P down -2 points
Wait a minute.....The string of higher closes in 2018 may still be alive.
- The Dow is currently trading above and below the unchanged level after being down about -130 points at the lows.
- The S&P is down -2.40 points after being down about -15 points
- The Nasdaq is still down -18 points after being down about -50 points at the lows.
If the major indices can inch out a gain, new records could be made once again.
Banks/financials are doing well today:
- Citigroup is up 1.22%
- J.P. Morgan is up 1.45%
- Deutsche Bank is up 2.32%
- Goldman Sachs is up 0.27%
- Morgan Stanley is a 2.06%
- Wells Fargo is up 1.74%
- Charles Schwab is up 1.47%
Banks will begin releasing earnings on Friday. JP Morgan, PNC and Wells Fargo will start the run. Citigroup will announce on the 16th and Bank of America will announce on the 17th.
