Statisticians design questionnaires, surveys, opinion polls and experiments to collect data as required. This includes writing instructions for other workers to collect and arrange data. The surveys can be conducted over phone, mail, online or through other means.

Statisticians use specialized statistical software that helps in analyzing data. Statisticians identify relationships and trends within the data. They conduct tests to know the reliability of the data and its validity. Some statisticians create new statistical software packages that helps analyze more accurately the data and the work is done efficiently.

Statisticians work in many such fields such as education, psychology, marketing, sports, or any field requiring data collection and analysis. In particular, they are highly required in government, research and development companies and healthcare facilities.

We require:

• Bachelor?s degree in Math or related field, or even supporting equivalent experience

• Experience of one year in a business setting in statistical analysis

Preferred:

• Master?s degree in statistics

• Excellent experience in data mining and visualization or in using SAS, SPSS

Job Responsibilities

• Develop analysis with visual and textual components to arrive at a plan of action.

• Define all active and inactive channels for investigation linking fields, data collection, taking out legacy information and merging tables.

• Work with IT dept so that you identify vulnerabilities of security and thus prevent the data of private customer being used by unauthorized parties.

• Summarize findings in reports released regularly and use software to create easy graph, chart and maps.

• Meet managers, discuss statistical analysis needs and provide regular support on demand

We wish to hire a Statistician and to handle the responsibility of analyzing, contributing, creating and enhancing projects using statistical analysis. This position performs procedures in statistical sampling to support investigations into waste, fraud, abuse, overpayments or medical necessity, as indicated in contractual requirements. This position offers unique data analytic designs that offer practical approach to detect the billing patterns in support of integrity activities. 

We require in the applicant:

• Mathematics knowledge and quantitative analysis

• Accurate mathematical and statistical reporting, analytic solutions and recommendations

• Provides support to all departments of Data Analytics department and also to other teams within the organization.

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Business, computer science or some relevant filed

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Statistical or data analysis 3 years experience
