Champion jockey Richard Johnson is the face of the 2017 Coral Welsh Grand National.

In a video to promote the biggest race day of the year at Chepstow Racecourse, Johnson's starring role in guiding Native River to a superb success in the 2016 running is commemorated.

The 40-year-old is seen donning the colours of Native River, trained by Colin Tizzard and owned by Brocade Racing, before adjusting his goggles ready for the off.

And it all happens against the background of a choir singing the Welsh National Anthem.

Singing will play a major part in the day, with Welsh opera singers Shan Cothi and Rebecca Evans singing Hen Wlad Fy Nhada as the runners circle for the big race.
