An Oklahoma veteran was reunited with his missing dog just in time for Christmas.Army veteran Geoff Hoffman said his house in Jones was broken into on Dec. 20, and his dog Bridget was stolen. “It appeared that they were going to steal my valuables, however they ended up only taking my beautiful dog,” Hoffman posted on his Facebook page, where he asked for help in finding Bridget. The post was shared more than 5,300 times on Facebook. Then, a Christmas miracle happened.Hoffman posted an update on Christmas Eve, saying that Bridget had been found Sunday morning, curled up near some bushes along a rural road. But Hoffman said she had suffered some injuries.“Aside from spending at least one night in below freezing conditions, she has several deep lacerations to her front left leg and her eyes were red and swollen. She was very dehydrated, had blood in her stool, and some sort of rash all over her body. The poor thing was exhausted,” Hoffman said in the Facebook post.A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Hoffman pay for Bridget’s vet bills.
