According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), common symptoms of listeriosis include headache, stiff neck, confusion, fever and muscle aches. Doctors can treat an infection with antibiotics, but it poses an especially large risk for pregnant women, newborns, older adults and people with weakened immune systems.

While following the baking instructions on these items will reduce consumer risk, there is still some chance that mishandling of this product prior to baking may result in illness. For that reason, the company asks that customers do not consume the affected products and return them to their place of purchase for a full refund. As of today, there have been no reports of illness.
