NBC issues new sexual harassment rules following Matt Lauer firing

NBC has revisited its sexual harassment policies following the firing of Matt Lauer, according to Page Six.

Employees will now be required to report any inappropriate workplace relationships. And if they fail to report their colleagues’ relationships, they could be fired.

The Page Six source also details a new hugging policy, which specifies if an NBC employee wants to hug a coworker, it must be a quick hug, followed by an immediate release, in order to avoid body contact.

This comes after NBC News Chairman Andy Lack issued a memo that a review of Lauer’s “inappropriate sexual conduct” charges led to interviews with over 40 other employees.
