European equity markets open firmer on the day

European stocks open higher to kick off the week

European stocks taking a cue from Asian equities as well as US stocks from Friday. A sea of green in Europe thus far - as risk on sentiment kicks into markets.

On the commodities front, we're seeing gold up 0.13% on the day to $1,256.85 while oil, copper, and iron ore are all up on the day as well.
