Missing Richmond Man Found Dead

Altaf Malik left his home in Richmond at about 9 pm to meet someone who wanted to buy his car, and never returned home.

RICHMOND, TX — A Richmond man who left his home Tueday to show off a car he was selling, was found stabbed to death.

The Houston Police confirmed that the body of a man discovered dumped in a trash dumpster at an apartment complex in Houston's Third Ward, was 43-year old Altaf Malik.

Police said Malik's body was found covered in trash bags 3000 block of Truxillo around 11 p.m. Thursday, KHOU reported.

Malik left his home in the 7000 block of Misting Morning in Richmond at about 9 pm., to meet with a person who’d expressed an interest in buying a 2009 Audi A-8 he was selling.

Investigators said that Malik was believed to be traveling into Houston to meet with the potential buyer.

Malik has not been seen or heard from since.

The vehicle he was driving was a black 2009 Audi A-8 with a Texas tag HZX-9910 and is missing.

The vehicle has no unique markings or damage.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle is asked to call the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office at 281-341-4665.
