Responsibilities Overview:
The community development worker role is focus on delivering the project services in accordance with the agreed plan, work closely with and assist the officers to ensure the effective implementation of the project. The community development worker will also be responsible for the overall follow up and reporting of the situation of the targeted children at field level.
Key Responsibilities
1. Beneficiary Identification: Identify and register orphans for possible sponsorship on the basis of criteria set by Islamic Relief worldwide and prepare the beneficiary dossier.
2. Progress Report Compilation: Compile annual progress reports and Label and save the picture on computer, in a manner that responsible officers will access the photo easily.
3. Filing: Prepare beneficiary dossier and facilitate proper hard copy filing.
4. Managing Self Help Saving Groups (SHSG): Coordinate SHSG and facilitate guardians’ discussion on the selected topics, Facilitate and give different training for beneficiaries, update yourself on the selected topics to lead the discussion.
5. Visit and Follow up: Collect accurate information from the orphan children and their guardians by paying regular visit to their living place; Use the provided format as a guide to gather the required information, Follow beneficiary children progresses and suggest possible projects.
6. Networking: Establish and strengthen net working with government local administrative units and different organizations that are working in the area of children.
7. Teamwork: Participate in general child welfare issues, meetings and staff development…etc
