Christmas Word Search for Kids {Free Printables} Post Preview: This post contains a religious Christmas word search with two different levels of difficulty. Each level of difficulty is also available as either a color printable or a blackline version that kids can color in themselves.
In the fall of 2014, I wrote myself a note on the small dry erase board near my desk that I wanted to make a set of religious Christmas word search printables to add to my other Christmas printables and activities. Then Christmas came and went, and it was suddenly 2015. Still, that note stayed on my dry erase board.
As 2015 was wrapping up, and Christmas was almost there, I decided that I absolutely couldn’t let Christmas pass by again without making these Christmas word search printables. That meant that I carved out some time and actually made them that year.
Of course, it did mean that I had to chisel that note off of the dry erase board. But, that happens, I suppose.

Fast forward to 2018, and I decided that I really wanted to have a version that wasn’t all in color – color words, color graphics, color borders – all that. It’s great if you have a color printer and want to print them out like that. But, in case you don’t have a color printer or you know your kids will enjoy coloring in the title and pictures, I am adding a new identical religious Christmas word search packet (still free), but in black and white this time.
If you prefer, however, this puzzle could also be printed on festive, cool winter colored papers instead of plain white paper.

In order to make these Christmas word search printables perfect for a wider variety of ages, the download includes two different versions of the word search. There is an easier version that includes ten search terms and a smaller puzzle area. The harder version includes 18 words or phrases to search for, as well as a larger puzzle.
As I mentioned above, you now also have the option of downloading a set that is in color and a set that is in black and white. Both downloads are identical otherwise.

Rubbing alcohol takes even very old dry erase marker off of white boards easily. Merry Christmas!

I’ve done that before on our larger dry erase board. I’ll have to try that! 🙂
