Wonderful night at Bocado. We had a party of 6 and the hostess was able to seat us at a table that was set apart from others due to Covid.
Our favorite dishes included the roasted chicken, rainbow trout and the infamous bocado burger. Fried okra and bread/butter were great appetizers for the table.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 13, 2020
We had a party of 4 at 5:30 pm on a Monday night. Not sure if it's due to COVID or us eating super early, but there was no wait. We sat outside. Tables were spaced well over 6 feet apart and easily allowed for social distancing. Waiters wore masks. Our waitress was really kind to inform us that they automatically add 20% tip to the bill.
We got the Aloe-ha ($12) and the Golly Llama ($14). Everyone enjoyed their drinks! The Aloe-ha was refreshing.
I got the Bocado Burger Stack with garlic herb fries ($16.50 + $1). I'm not really sure why garlic herb fries are an extra dollar. They're essentially the same as regular fries, just with some extra spices. My friends got the Westside Bocado Burger Stack, which is an extra $2. Again, not sure why the up-charge for a few extra ingredients. The burgers are not cheap, so I feel like an up-charge is unnecessary. Another friend got the Ravioli ($13), which she said tasted as good as it looked. Stuffed with butternut squash, it seemed perfect for fall.
Everything was delicious. The service was great. I understand they're in an expensive area, but if they're going to keep prices the way they are, I wish they wouldn't up-charge every little thing.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 2021
Man this is ridiculous. Came to pick of food & have been completely ignored by a free employee who instead is gossiping with the only person who is working helping the customers in front of him. He walked around me, stared at me multiple times without saying anything then stared at me again while walking to the back when I went to speak to him & never came back out.
What kind of service is this?? Never returningHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Christina V.Atlanta, GA21623902175Oct 27, 2020
If I'm coming to Bocado, it's for one thing and one thing ONLY. That dang burger stack haunts my dreams! A few girlfriends (and fellow Yelp elite Squad members - subtle plug for the squad hehehe) and I were planning to meet up and I had been craving a burger for at least two weeks.
I must say I've had the burger before in its full glory - bun and all. Amazing. Immaculate. Fantastic. Would it be worth eating the bun? Sure, it would indeed. But I didn't feel like derailing my whole week (and breaking the gluten free experiment I am running on myself). So I ordered it without a bun, and might I say it was an E X P E R I E N C E.
They used the butteriest butter lettuce to replace the bun. I definitely needed to eat it with a fork and a knife. I wasn't trying to go full caveman here. It was JUST as great without the bun. Don't believe me? That's fine! See if I care!
I will commend the restaurant on their safety measures during the pandemic. No one was seated inside. We sat on the patio and were adequately distanced from other parties. The food and service were just as fantastic as usual.Helpful 25Thanks 0Love this 23Oh no 0 - Ullrich M.Greensboro, GA211223Sep 11, 2022
Even though the patties are very thin and therefore, rare is impossible to count k, they are very good. Deviled eggs are a nice choice.

Awesome carbonara pizza!! We added an extra egg and it was DELICIOUS!
However my boyfriend and I were extremely disappointed at the wood fired Nutella dessert pizza. I've been seeing it all over their Instagram and from food blogger's and it looked amazing. When I ordered it, it looked NOTHING like what is advertised. We had to go home and put our own fruit on it to make it have some sort of appeal to it. (It is advertised with strawberries) I messaged their Instagram asking if I had maybe ordered it wrong and they looked at it and never responded back. I know this place is known for their burgers and not their pizzas since they are new. Maybe will come back and give them another shot one day.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 50229185Jul 7, 2019
Bocado can take all of money - I love this place for the burger, bartenders and herb fries. Damn this is truly top 3 burgers in ATL - gotta order it Westside (I think is how they describe it) with all the toppings. The food is consistent every time no matter if its early in the shift or if I'm the last soul to walk in, its always consistent. What makes food delicious for me is not just a phenomonal taste but also the service and experience. I rarely eat beef and yet when I crave it, I come here.
Brussel sprouts are also bomb!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4734291989May 14, 2018
Bocado was an excellent choice for a Friday, casual date night. The dining area was contemporary and intimate. The lighting was very dim which made it feel romantic. I made a reservation through opentable for 9:30, but the restaurant wasn't even half full when we arrived.
We both came for much hyped burger, so we barely browsed the menu. They have an interesting (and pricey) cocktail list. The cocktail I ordered was delicious! I Can't remember the name or the ingredients, but it was very tasty. The Bocado burger was fantastic! It's definitely one of the better burgers that I've had in Atlanta. It was cooked perfectly. I asked for the "boss sauce" on the side and it was a great addition to the burger. The garlic herb fries were very delicious as well.
Our server was outstanding and the food was excellent. Definitely looking forward to returning.Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - Nkenna N.Woodstock, GA01766Feb 20, 2021
This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner, however, the menu fell through.
I was pretty disappointed once I saw the dinner menu. They have more cocktail options than meal options. None of the drinks really jumped out at me so I decided to pass.
What I ordered:
Bocado Burger Stack -your standard burger with American cheese and house-made fries. I opted to add lettuce, tomato and pickles with their "Boss sauce" on the side.
The burger was very juicy and the cheese tasted sharp (I'm trying to add some variety here since I feel like "fresh" is my favorite word when talking about food.). It's always nice when you can taste the difference in your meal when fresh ingredients are used! Homemade fries have to be my favorite "genre" of fries.
When eating the burger I'd definitely suggest cutting it up to avoid it falling apart all over your plate!
Overall, I probably won't come back due to the limited menu and not really seeing the wow factor. I didn't hate it but I feel like you can find a good burger somewhere else.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 8, 2018
Delicious burger!! The burger is made with Creekstone beef so it's halal. Definitely get it with the "Westside" toppings & the garlic herb fries!! So good! The burger has two thin patties and is cooked to perfection!
The service was good with a hiccup. Firstly, I got here a little before 5:30pm and the staff was very nice and let me wait inside since it was cold outside. They told me to either wait on the bench or at the bar and they'll come get me to get a table in a bit. I sat at the bar, bartender got me water and handed me a menu which I assumed was to look at while I waited. Fifteen minutes past and no one came back to me even though there were at least 5 servers just waiting around. I was so confused! I looked around and notice others seated at a table and then inquired and finally got a table. The host apologized for the misunderstanding but even if I was at the bar, I hadn't received service for a good while. In the end, my server was nice and attentive. Either way, I'd definitely be back for the burger alone. If you're in ATL, this is a must try!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
