According to U.S. Census Bureau data from the 2014 election, of the 219,941,000 citizens who are over the age of 18, only 142,166,000 were registered to vote — and only 92,251,000 voted.

We spoke to people from different parts of the world.
Some received their citizenship recently…
…and others have lived in the country for over 10 years, but only recently gained the right to vote.
They all expressed how important being able to vote for them is.
So, when we asked them what they thought about American citizens who didn't exercise their right to vote...
...most of them were pretty frustrated.
They reminded all of us that if someone has the right to vote they should.
Others touched on not just the importance of voting, but also educating people on who their candidates are.
Because at the end of the day voting is bigger than one individual.
