Did The Blues Use PEDs To Beat The Chicago Blackhawks?

When it was over, the captain cried.

David Backes came into the media interview with puffy, saddened eyes — possibly like the eyes reading this column were Wednesday night — and he broke down again when describing his team’s character.

“He’ll kill me for telling you this story,” a lip-quivering, watery-eyed Backes said after the Game 6, season-ending loss. “But Game 5, I’m not feeling well, and Steve Ott brings me something to help me feel better. Knowing that he’s the guy not going in the lineup if I can play, that’s pretty selfless — that’s the kind of guys we have in here.

Close your eyes and imagine what a drug dealer looks like? Was it this?

Well it should be. While emotional, and possibly under the influence of drugs, David Backes implicated Steve Ott as a steroid and or prescription drug dealer. A very serious crime. Somehow Steve Ott, who according to his wikipedia page has no medical education, was able give David Backes “something to make him feel better”. Something that the trainers and doctors for the St. Louis Blues were unable to provide. Now, I don’t have any evidence other than the words of David Backes, but the whole thing sounds fishy. While digging around Ott’s wikipedia page I also came across some additional, albeit circumstantial evidence. Ott has played for Windsor, Dallas, and Buffalo. All towns right near the border. Borders where drugs are smuggled. Again, not enough to lock him up, but the NHL should certainly investigate this further. In the mean time, I propose that the Blues forfeit their series win vs the Blackhawks, and their subsequent win vs Dallas. Replay the Western Conference Final. This time with the right teams. Teams that don’t use PEDs. Blackhawks vs Sharks for all the marbles.
