Among the happy wishes flooding in for Kesha’s 29th birthday on Tuesday, Lady Gaga tweeted her own special note. “Happy Birthday @KeshaRose, may you get everything you want and more,” wrote the star.

The message comes after a string of mutual support between the pair over the last few weeks. Following the denial for Kesha’s preliminary injunction against Dr. Luke Feb. 19, Gaga immediately jumped to the singer’s side, tweeting “There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.” She also shared a photo of the two holding hands, captioned with the simple phrase “Free Kesha.”

At Sunday night’s Academy Awards, Gaga gathered 50 sexual assault survivors for a powerful rendition of her Oscar-nominated song, “Til It Happens to You.” Kesha, whose ongoing legal battle against Dr. Luke includes allegations of sexual assault, took to Twitter to thank Gaga for her heart-wrenching tribute. “Thank u @ladygaga and VP @JoeBiden for bringing attention to sexual assault at the Oscars,” the singer tweeted. (Biden introduced Gaga’s performance and urged viewers to pledge against sexual assault at ItsOnUs.org.) “It hits very close to my heart for obvious reasons,” she added.
