Video: Enduro rider Yoann Barelli tackles Nelson trails on a cyclo-cross bike

British Columbia, not Lancashire

French mountain bike rider Yoann Barelli has again been showcasing what he can do on a cyclo-cross bike. “Whatever the bike, whatever the trail, for me riding is just about having fun,” he says.

It does indeed look fun – or at least it does if you can mentally distance yourself from the occasionally nauseating speed.

Halfway through the video, Barelli switches back to his normal bike so that he can really go all-out.

The video was shot in the Nelson resort in British Columbia and is the first in a series which Red Bull says is designed to showcase mountain biking at its most exciting.

It isn’t the first video Barelli has made featuring his skill on a cyclo-cross bike, however. Last year he put one through its paces on the trails around Whistler.

It’s clearly an area he enjoys. Barelli came second in the Whistler round of the 2015 Enduro World Series, a result which helped him to ninth overall.

Alex has written for more cricket publications than the rest of the road.cc team combined. Despite the apparent evidence of this picture, he doesn't especially like cake.

I rode that  Giant TCX Advanced Pro last year and the steering feel is amazing. 15 mm thru axle is the way to go https://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/model/tcx.advanced.pro.1/18742/76161/
