Announcing the 2016 Oscar Nominations!

They're here! The Oscar nominations were announced this morning, with eight films fighting it out for best picture this year. The Revenant led the pack with 12 nominations, which is no big shocker, considering the movie is fresh off winning three big awards at the Golden Globes, including best dramatic film. Mad Max: Fury Road is also all over this list with 10 nominations, and though most of them are in technical categories, the film also received nods for best picture and best director. Also of note: The Martian racked up seven nominations, including a nod for best picture and a best actor nomination for Matt Damon, and Jennifer Lawrence scored her fourth Oscar nod in six years, this time for her performance in Joy.
