Adele just had the highest-rated concert special in 10 years.

The singer’s one-hour NBC special, Adele Live in New York City, had 11.2 million viewers and a super strong 3.0 rating among adults 18–49 on Monday night.

Benefiting from a lead-in from The Voice, the 10 p.m. special — which you can see in full here — delivered a larger adult demo rating than any broadcast network concert special since NBC’s Eagles Farewell Tour on June 1, 2005.

Among total viewers, Adele Live in New York City is the top broadcast music special since Feb. 9, 2014 — CBS’s Beatles Grammy Salute.

And on NBC it was the most-watched concert special (excluding award shows) since Cher: Farewell Tour on April 8, 2003.

If anything, holiday concert specials often struggle in the ratings, regardless of their lead-in. Compare Adele’s performance to another modern icon, Lady Gaga, whose Muppets-stuffed holiday special two years ago had only 3.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.
