Bananas are suggestive, I guess. If you're in a middle school cafeteria. Honestly, they were one-upped by the eggplant the second emoji keyboards appeared in iMessage. In China, however, bananas are on the no-film list.

According to the BBC, China just banned live-stream videos of people seductively eating bananas. No word on what the standard for banana seductiveness is. Peeled or unpeeled? Mashed or whole? Green banana or yellow?

A Chinese-language news outlet, cited by the BBC, noted that 60 percent of live-streamers in China are under 22, and roughly 75 percent of live-stream watchers are male. Does China only have a problem with young Chinese women eating bananas, or does the rule apply to men, young and old, as well? Who is the government paying to patrol the streaming universe and make these calls?

So many questions.

Incidentally, stockings and suspenders are also banned from Chinese live-stream sites. Saucy.
