Trump has the most popular yarmulke at AIPAC conference

Judging by one unusual criteria — yarmulke sales — Donald Trump was the most popular speaker at the pro-Israel AIPAC conference in Washington, DC, Monday night.

Vendor Marc Daniels, who was peddling skullcaps with candidates’ names, said he couldn’t keep up with the demand for the Trump products.

“If someone is going to buy a yarmulke, you have to assume they support the candidate,” said Daniels.

“These are people who are going to wear this to shul, they’re going to wear this to the caucuses.”

Daniels, not expecting big sales, brought only 10 Trump yarmulkes, along with some bearing the names of Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Hillary Clinton and Sanders to the annual gathering of the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

The Trump items sold within minutes and Daniels said he turned away 50 customers seeking them. Only two or three Cruz skullcaps and three or four with Kasich’s name left his table, he said.
