Huawei has a fine track record of borrowing from Apple’s designs. You can perhaps expect the Chinese manufacturer to produce even more iPhone clones though—because it now counts an old Apple Creative Director as a member of its staff.

Verge notes that the former Apple employee Abigail Sarah Brody has updated her LinkedIn profile to show she’s working for Huawei. Brody worked on the very first OS for the iPhone, helping create its multi-touch interface. It’s hardly as if Jony Ive just jumped ship, of course, but it does suggest that Huawei is keen to align itself as closely with Apple’s design thinking as it can.
