Yuzo Koshiro's seminal soundtrack for Streets of Rage 2 is coming to vinyl, thanks to record label Data Discs. The double LP will be released this April.

According to a release from Data Discs, the game's audio "has been carefully remastered using multiple sources, including the original NEC PC-88 files supplied by Koshiro himself." The gatefold double album will also feature original artwork "sourced from the Sega archives in Japan."

Streets of Rage 2's vinyl release will feature 25 tracks, including four bonus tracks of "demos, alternate versions and unused compositions." The double LP will be packaged with two lithographs and come in three variations:

  • 2 x 180 g transparent vinyl with black smoke effect and blood splatter (limited edition, available exclusively from the Data Discs website) - £24.99
  • 2 x 180 g transparent vinyl with black smoke effect - £24.99
  • 2 x 180 g classic black vinyl - £22.99

Data Discs will open pre-orders for the Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack on Saturday, Feb. 27.

Other Sega soundtracks available from Data Discs include the original Streets of Rage, Shenmue, Shinobi 3 and Super Hang-On.
