Overwatch is a game that only exists because Blizzard failed. The upcoming shooter rose from the ashes of the canceled MMO Titan, and it's heading to consoles and Windows PC next year.

Last weekend at BlizzCon 2015, we learned a lot more about Overwatch. Today on Polygon Minimap: Worldmap Edition, Polygon's managing editor, Mike McWhertor, tells us all about it, from what its three new characters are like to play to what it tells us about Blizzard as a games maker.

Welcome to the Polygon Minimap podcast, an audio show about the most interesting gaming, entertainment and pop culture news of the day.

Here's what we're covering today in your daily audio tour through the world of video games, related technologies and pop culture like comics, movies and TV.
