The pavilion, widely considered to be the heart of the community, went up in flames in December.
The village is now seeking approval from insurers to tear down what remains of the pavilion’s “super structure”; the floor may still be able to be saved, Zegarelli said.
Meanwhile, the pool has been checked and refilled and the village is hoping to have it opened by Memorial Day weekend, he added.

- “While you were sleeping …” Department. The village switched out the surge tank in its Full Water Supply Project pump station in Tarrytown about three weeks ago. During the switch out, the Catskill Water Supply source was pump/relayed to the village by Sleepy Hollow. The actual switchout was actually a short event: the preparation and constant Department of Health testing took longer to complete. The village is in a joint operational agreement with Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow so they can help and assist each other in these types of situations, Zegarelli said.
