Auditions for 'Jesus Christ Superstar' Are Postponed by Storm

The Stamford theater will hold auditions later this week.

Due to winter storm Juno, Curtain Call has rescheduled auditions for their upcoming production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.

Auditions originally scheduled for Monday, January 26 have been moved to Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00pm in The Kweskin Theatre, 1349 Newfield Avenue, Stamford.

“We had a great first night of auditions on Sunday,” said Lou Ursone, Curtain Call executive director and producer, “and we hope that this new date will allow others to come audition as well.”

Just in time for the Easter /Passover season, Curtain Call will present the rock opera, Jesus Christ Superstar. Opening on Good Friday, April 3, this will be a large cast musical presentation requiring great singers and dancers of all ages (16 through adult).

All roles are open - nonunion, non pay. The production will be directed by Debra Lee Failla with music direction by Tony Bellomy and choreography by Kari Sweeney Efferen.
Those auditioning should prepare a brief song (32 bars) in the style of the show.

Jesus Christ Superstar will play through May 2, Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00pm and Sunday afternoons at 2:00pm, (no show Easter Sunday).

Curtain Call is the award-winning, non-profit community-based theatre company in residence at The Sterling Farms Theatre Complex, 1349 Newfield Avenue in Stamford.
