It’s getting weird: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills get high in Amsterdam

Anyone who thinks marijuana is completely normalized in 2015 clearly missed this week’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” — which had the drama queens giggling and eeking their way through a hash menu inside an Amsterdam coffeehouse while vacationing in the Netherlands.

Yikes, that was uncomfortable.

From Bustle:

If your idea of a good time is watching a bunch of middle-aged women who barely like each other partake in some pot, then you’re in luck! The end of Tuesday night’s episode of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ was all about the ladies visiting a coffee shop during their trip to Amsterdam, and they didn’t just order up some skinny lattes, if you know what I mean. This is definitely for the best, because these ladies need to chill out, especially Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards … As the ladies looked at the hashish offerings at the coffee shop, many of them acted like they had no idea what weed is, much less ever smoked it. However, Brandi looked like a pot pro, pointing out the flowering time to the ladies and explaining how to roll a joint. But Brandi was not amused at all with their holier than thou attitude toward marijuana, and she decided to let them know that.”

Glanville, left, then got into some trouble with her castmates when she called out Richards for being something of a cannabis aficionado, something Glanville had witnessed first-hand — even though Richards was abstaining from the Dutch weed. (The ladies sat uncomfortably in the coffeehouse around a single “space cake” as they giggled nervously at the alien item in front of them.)

Richards explained that she didn’t want to partake on-camera because of her kids, a sentiment shared by some of the other ladies — including “Days of Our Lives” star Eileen Davidson.

From Inquisitr:

As the cast enjoyed a coffee date in Amsterdam, several of the ladies tried pot-laced cake. Richards, however, appeared horrified at the idea, and passed on the tasty treat. Upon seeing Richards’ reaction, housewife Glanville immediately threw her former friend under the bus, telling Richards and the rest of the cast, including Yolanda Foster, Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, and Eileen Davidson, that she had witnessed Richards using marijuana in the past. Housewife Glanville’s comments took the room by storm, and fans watching online were shocked.

Shocked, I tell you.

Of all the things these women do on-camera, it’s amazing they were concerned about ingesting marijuana in a mostly-legal, historically legit city.

From Vulture:

Everyone was all about going, and then no one wanted to get stoned. Brandi accused Kyle of liking drugs too much, but then they all ate a little bit of cake and none of them got messed up. Please, that’s like going to the bathhouse and lying in the sling and then telling all the tops that you’re waiting to be in a relationship. If you’re going to do it, just freakin’ do it. But they were all concerned that their kids would see them getting a little stoned on cake. Please. I’d be more concerned with all the other crap that these women do to each other. A little toke is the least of their worries.

The funniest moment of the show came when Davidson — who had been abstaining from the “space cake” — ultimately gave in and had a bite. Her explanation, as seen in the above Vine: “I decided to give in because I’m weak and I succumb to peer pressure.”

In a show that’s heavier on drama-fueled tears than self-effacing one-liners, it was a welcome note from the soap star.

And sure enough, “Real Housewives” executive producer and “Watch What Happens: Live” host Andy Cohen is now regretting his decision to not tag along with the ladies to the coffee shop.

A number of fans were glad the ladies indulged.

And some fans were happy to welcome the ladies to the club.

And don’t forget about the reports that are saying Skinnygirl entreprenuer (and Real Housewife of New York) Bethenny Frankel is working on munchie-less marijuana.
