Looking for a dive that has good, inexpensive food served hot and fresh in a sizeable portion? Look no further as King Solomon is your jam!!!
Drive thru windows on both sides of this shack and it doesn't matter which side you go to. There's also a walk up window.
Handful of tables out front, but that's it for seating and they aren't really open late (I think till about 9 during the week), though Fri and Sat nights it might be open later.
Family owned and operated business and you can order ahead and they'll have your order ready for you. Maybe 3 parking spots in the back and then there's free street parking right there next to the building itself as well.
Try the Greek gyro for about 6 bucks or so...it's large, hot, with fresh vegetables and a warm and soft pita. Tough to be a cheap, quality gyro like what they're serving.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 31, 2021
How this place got 4.5 stars is beyond me. This establishment is a little building with limited seating outside and a drive through concept. It was very confusing because it seems like cars just sit there and moves slowly through the line. We almost got impatient and left. There is also a walk up window where you can order from.
When it's finally our turn, she took our order and told us to wait. Then, she took our payment and handed us waters before telling us to drive around to the other side. We waited for about 15-20 mins for our food to be ready.
I was really excited for this lunch, but it fell short. The hummus was really watery. The salad was not dressed. The gyro and rice was the only decent part of the meal. Oh and the falafel I ordered tasted like a donut hole. Not sure how that was possible. It was a very disappointing meal for all of us and I will not be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eliza R.TN, TN41204328Apr 21, 2022Updated review
I'm utterly confused as to what the heck happened, but I loved this place when I first tried them. Today, however, they failed on every level. I ordered delivery of the chicken hummus plate with Greek Salad. I got
- tiny pieces of dried out, rubbery chicken as if they scraped up what was left in the pan
- a handful of wilted lettuce and one tiny cube of tomato (in what universe is that a "Greek Salad?")
- a ton of unseasoned rice
- a serving of soupy, bland hummus
- piece of pita
Just yuck.
Won't be back here again as this was a complete rip off.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Oct 16, 2021Previous reviewCame here recently craving a falafel and ended up leaving with a giant Gyro & Chicken Platter with a side of falafels. I was talked into their most popular dish by a lovely woman (one of the owners) who I could have talked to for an hour had the driver behind me not honked in frustration (okay, so it took me a long time to order!). She and her (husband?) were the only two there that I could see, so I assume he was the cook, a really good one at that.
The food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned (the gyro meat & chicken were so tender, the rice was buttery, the peppers and onions perfectly grilled and the side Greek salad, lightly but well-dressed). And there was enough food for three meals!! Oh, and falafels with tahini sauce - perfect. I've had many a falafel over the years I lived in LA. This place knows how to season them to perfection and not over fry them.
I will definitely be back, many times, and plan to try so many other items on their menu. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. - Dec 16, 2021
Came by here the other day for a quick lunch while visiting my doctor's offices in the area. Loved that they have a drive thru that is quick and easy. The service was great and my mixed grill salad was wonderful!

I loved this place, but now they are permanently closed. I hope they come back at a new location.

King Solomons is the best. Seriously the food is absaloutly delicious, the family that runs it is incredibly kind, and it's cheap for the amount of food you get-what more could you ask for? Y'all are gonna want to check this place out.

No frills middle eastern drive thru. Kong Solomon's delivers on exactly what one would expect from solid takeout. Large portions and fresh food highlight what they do here. The gyro combo was hefty and filled with chopped up gyro meat and all the traditional accompaniments on the sandwich while the fries were well seasoned and super crisp. The two window drive thru system here was a bit strange but we'll make due.

Got the gyro plate with tebouli and some baklava for lunch. Pretty solid meal: packed with rice and tebouli salad. The gyro meat was tasty and the baklava is even better!

The gyro fajita sandwich is BOMB! Stay away from the falafel plate though. The wait is kind of long usually, but they always have great service and the food is piping hot. The prices are reasonable too!
